  • What are your different classes?

    Exploring Instruments / Musical Variety

Offered in 30-minute or 60-minute weekly sessions, this course allows students to engage in one-on-one instruction with a multi-instrumentalist. The instructor will introduce the fundamentals of various instruments and assist the student in identifying which instrument(s), including voice, they would prefer to focus on.

This class is highly tailored to the student’s specific interests, musical styles, and objectives. While the program is designed to be short-term, the duration can be flexible, lasting however long it takes for the student and their family to decide on a primary instrument for continued learning.

    Music Production / Songwriting

Available in 30-minute or 60-minute weekly sessions, students can delve into the components of music, including instruments, production techniques, songwriting, arrangement, and sound design across various musical styles. This course encourages the exploration of different instruments and their collaborative roles in song creation.

The class is personalized to cater to the student’s individual interests, preferred genres, and aspirations.

Integrated Voice with Instrument (Singing While Playing)

In this 30-minute or 60-minute weekly session, students will work closely with an instructor to learn how to sing while playing an instrument, such as piano, guitar, bass, or ukulele.

This class is customized to align with the student's specific musical preferences, genres, and goals.

    Preschool Group Music Classes

We believe music education can begin in early childhood just like any other form of learning.

We offer preschool music classes for young children who may not be ready for individual instrument lessons. These classes are designed for small groups of 3-4 children aged 0-4, accompanied by their parents, and focus on engaging and educational activities that are enjoyable for very young children. Refreshments will be provided.

  • What are your billing cycles/calendar?

Billing periods are structured not according to the traditional calendar month, as seen with rent, but instead recur on the same day each month, similar to a subscription model. The tuition fee covers a specific weekly time slot and instructor that is reserved exclusively for you and not available to any other students.

Monthly fees are calculated based on four lessons each month. Nonetheless, there may be occasions when you benefit from five lessons in a month because of the calendar or receive fewer than four lessons in a month due to holidays or other closures, which do not qualify for makeups or prorated charges (see our Policies & Agreements for details).

Additionally, we assure that every student will receive a total of 48 lessons each year (4 lessons multiplied by 12 months).

  • What is the length of lessons?

For young beginners, we find a 30-minute lesson once a week is ideal. 60-minute weekly sessions are also available.

All lessons are densely packed and offer instruction for continuing progress via practice throughout the week.

  • Do prices vary between instruments?

Pricing is based on the length of the session, not the instrument.

    The only exceptions are:

    • Music Production (60 minutes only and not available as 30-minute sessions.)
    • Less-common or specialized instruments (These might be offered as 30-minute or 60-minute sessions depending on instructor availability.)
  • What is the minimum age for one-on-one lessons?

Every child is unique and we would be happy to assess the skill level of children ages 4 and up for one-on-one lessons.

Depending on their age, very young students who are interested in the guitar may be recommended to start with the ukulele as it is similar in functionality and much smaller in size.

  • What are your methods of teaching?

We employ a range of methods, techniques, and music theory resources to provide tailored lessons that align with each child's objectives and advancement.

These methods incorporate foundational skills and theory, along with hands-on application, customized to suit each student's learning preferences, requirements, and passions.

  • Are books included?

Books are priced individually; you are free to buy them on your own, but when we supply them, we offer our music school discount, making the price usually equivalent to or lower than what you would pay at a retailer.

  • Is there home practice?

We offer instruments at the school that can be borrowed for lessons; however, students will need to have their own instrument for home practice. If necessary, the instructor can assist in determining the appropriate size.

After that, you are free to rent or buy an instrument from any source – we also have rental instruments available at our school that students can take home.

  • Do you provide special needs classes?

We have many neurodiverse students with different abilities, requirements, and ways of learning. We are consistently pleased to offer an inclusive and appropriate learning environment for every student.

Please be aware that the lessons might incur a higher fee based on the required accommodations and the duration of the sessions.
